GWEN new drops should be made inscribable. However stats of existing stuffs should NOT be modifed/nerfed out of no good reason.
My poor requirement-less AL 10 shield now only has AL of 8 left ... Like, why is that change even necessary It's not like either of those will be used in pvp anyways.

Inscribable stuff is great because, as someone pointed out earlier, you get less wasted drops. Now, if an item is gold and max, you can pretty much make it useable to your needs. Also, even with inscriptions, it can cost you 30k+ to make your weapon perfect (and especially a +30hp, max 'luck of the draw' shield).
It would be good to see that across the boards. After all, a rare skin will still be a rare skin, but the common stuff is more use.
Ferret.

Voted Inscribable, and i hope there are inscribables but i don't want them dropping like candy either. As long as they do a decent job of balancing the drop rate of inscribable vs. non-inscribable i'll be fine with it.

I will gaurentee they will not have a system dropping non-inscribable and inscribable items (besides boss drops) because it is kinda dumb and well no point in having 2 systems when one is clearly better (aka inscriptions) then the other.

They will be inscribable. And, like Timebandit's post above, the best reason I can give for why this is a good thing is the absurd staff depicted below.

Currently Monks using shields of a req 9 have 8 armor, so they would be used.

Eotn drops will be inscribable of course, because if they didn't that'd just be moving backwards and not creating a better game.
It seems many people in favor of non-inscribable drops are playing the wrong game - GW isn't the game where you can find the "ultimate sword" with godly stats that will make kills effortless. My friend stopped playin GW when she realized GW was more of a strategy game rather than the more usual MMORPG. Because of that, Anet doesn't favor imbalance (as we all know). There's no items meant to be superior to another (except the few rare unconditional pve items), the only difference is the skin. If you're looking to show off your cool rare items, you're better off moving to another game because even if you are rich in GW, this game is more based on your skillbar and how well you can use it. The inscribable system is good for the casual player obviously.....more dedicated players will also like it.

They will be inscribable, which is fortunate. Many Guild Wars players also have "real lives" (lives that are lived in the lands of earth, not tyria/cantha/elona), and they shouldn't be denied "leet gear" because they spend their time more productively (instead of sitting in front of a computer screen farming fake money all day long).

ur all right, gw is turned into nothing but hand outs.... FREE CHEESE.... lets all live off a system where everyone is equal, noone has to or is wanting to "earn" or "work for" anything.....
as i said, lets make all swords "gladius" all axes "war axes" all hammers "war hammers" all staves "jeweled" lets just see how many ppl would play the game more then a week.....
then the desire of the game for everyone will soon be gone......

Better yet, let's reduce drops to 1% of the current rate, that way all our stuff will be really rare and worth over 100k and we'll all be rich! Yippee!

Actually, there are no white inscribables, inscribables are always at least blue.
And not all blue, purple or gold drops come with inscriptions, only those with that property.
A swod may come with hilt and pommel only, without other mods (I got some of those myself).
Figures talk. Inscriptions are good. Items with unalterable variable properties suck. Common properties should stay fixed. Moddalbe properties must be variable.

Once you get old enough to get a job, I am sure you will realize that after spending time earning things in real life (as opposed to having a system of "hand outs" from your parents), earning organizations of pixels shaped like swords is a quite meaningless way to waste your time.

original req 9 15^50 weapons are still as rare as they were before nightfall, just because you can get a good skin and put a nice inscription on it doesn't make the old weapons less rare, right? i've some old weps which i payed good money for, just because they were 15^50 with no inscription, i'm vain and i think it looks better :P still i'm all for inscriptions, at least you can use the weapons you find for something other than taking the merchants money. ok enough rambling from me ^^
drops in GW:EN should have inscriptions, just let the old weapons stay as they are (even if tyria and cantha will get inscription weapons leave the old ones as they are).

I don't care very much simply because the max status won't be differend from Prophecies, Factions or Nightfall. It would be intersting if the items had some increased power, but they wont have that. So basically players who start GW:EN will most probably already have maxed items from the other chapters. And be able to get more... there. Its only intersting if you care for new looks.

just about everyone as we are not literally obsessed with trying to impress other players with what we have in storage.
as i have said before anybody actually impressed with in game wealth is not worth impressing

no just those like yourself playing for pixels rather than fun.
now go *work* and *earn* something to impress your impressables
